The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert to Orange County residents regarding the residency of 36-year-old Benida Morales, who has moved from the Orange County Jail in Goshen to an apartment on DeWitt Avenue in Middletown.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Morales as a level two threat, which means she is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Morales had deviate sexual intercourse and sexual contact with a 15-year-old boy in Middletown in June 2004. She was convicted of sexual misconduct for having intercourse with another person without consent in October that year. Morales was sentenced to six years of probation and is now under the jurisdiction of the Goshen Town Police Department.
